Before we dive in—this is Part 2 of our No-Parks Disney World Christmas trip.
If you’re just joining us, you’ll want to head back and read Part 1 HERE first so Day 2 makes sense and you get the full picture.

Quick recap of Day 1:

We stayed at All-Star Music, resort-hopped our hearts out, ate our weight in incredible food (Boma forever), explored the Monorail resorts, saw ALL the Christmas décor, and watched fireworks from the Polynesian beach. It was magical… and exhausting in the best way.

Which brings us to Day 2. 😅

A Slower Start (Because Disney Exhaustion Is Real)

Day 2 started much later—and honestly, it needed to.

After covering what felt like all of Disney World the day before, we slept in and leaned into a slower, more relaxed vibe. One of my favorite things about a no-parks trip is that you don’t feel rushed to rope drop anything.

First stop? Port Orleans French Quarter for breakfast.

Mickey Beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter

If you’ve never been to Port Orleans French Quarter, it’s themed like New Orleans and is just as charming as you’d imagine.

We came for one thing and one thing only:
👉 Mickey-shaped beignets

And WOW. These were to die for.

They’re big, so we ordered:

  • 3 beignets
  • Both dipping sauces (chocolate + caramel)

Highly recommend this combo.

A few things to know:

  • Plan for a serious powdered sugar situation (it will be everywhere)
  • Totally worth the mess
  • Hot take… I think these were even better than the famous beignets at Café Du Monde in New Orleans 👀

I said what I said.

Boat Ride to Disney Springs + Christmas Tree Stroll

From French Quarter, we hopped on the boat to Disney Springs, which is such a peaceful and underrated way to travel.

Disney Springs can easily be:

  • A half-day
  • Or a full-day if your family loves shopping

But our main goal was the Christmas Tree Stroll.

There are themed Christmas trees scattered all over Disney Springs, and you can grab a map showing where each one is located. It turns into a fun scavenger hunt for kids as they try to spot their favorites.

We also:

  • Watched the Aerophile hot air balloon (yes, you can actually go up in it!)
  • I grabbed an iced coffee from Joffrey’s (Disney’s signature coffee brand and an absolute must-try)
  • Popped into a few shops

And then… we hit our limit.

This was hands-down the most crowded place we visited on the entire trip. Little A and I both hate crowds, so instead of pushing through, we listened to our limits and headed back to the resort.

One of my biggest Disney planning philosophies:
You don’t have to do everything. You get to do what works for your family.

Pool time at Disney's All Star Music Resort

Pool Time in December (Because Florida)

It was around 80 degrees, which is peak “Florida doesn’t know what season it is” weather.

After a long swim and some much-needed downtime, we were refreshed and ready to head back out for our evening plans—which included treats, dinner, and more Christmas magic.

BoardWalk Area + Skyliner Resorts Christmas Crawl

Yacht Club Resort

First stop: Yacht Club, beautifully decorated with nautical Christmas décor and an adorable miniature train display. We loved this resort’s classic, cozy feel.

Beach Club Resort

Right next door is Beach Club, where we grabbed Christmas-themed treats:

  • Gingerbread French macarons

Not only were they adorable, they were also delicious and totally worth trying.

Pro tip:
The walk from Beach Club to the EPCOT Skyliner station is only about 5 minutes. If EPCOT is your focus, BoardWalk-area resorts are a fantastic choice.

Skyliner Ride to Riviera Resort

Next, we hopped on the Skyliner and cruised over to Riviera Resort.

This resort is stunning, inspired by the European Riviera, and if you’re a Walt Disney fan, you have to go inside. The photos of Walt and his family traveling are pure nostalgia in the best way.

Dinner at Bar Riva

We grabbed dinner at Bar Riva. Don’t let the name fool you—yes, it’s technically a pool bar, but:

  • It’s open to the public
  • Very kid-friendly
  • And the food is incredible

What we ordered:

  • Me: Panzanella with chicken
  • Aiden: Kids cheeseburger

That bread salad was one of the best meals I had at a Disney resort (second only to Boma, obviously). For a quick-service spot, this place seriously delivers.

Riviera is also home to Topolino’s, often named the best character meal on property… but that’s a whole other blog post. 😉

Caribbean Beach + Pop Century Christmas Magic

From Riviera, we walked over to Caribbean Beach Resort, our favorite moderate resort and where we stayed on our last trip.

The Christmas décor here was SO cute:

  • Tropical colors
  • Fish and starfish on the tree
  • Holiday vibes without losing the island feel

Next stop on the Skyliner: Pop Century.

This value resort surprised me—the Christmas tree was HUGE. We also lucked out and caught some extra fun activities happening.

Pro tip:
If you see a square taped off on the ground, step into it. Cast members will cheer and clap every time you do. It’s silly, fun, and peak Disney.

On our way out, we watched a Cast Member creating water art—Disney characters outlined entirely in water. These Cast Members are insanely talented, and we made sure to tell them how much we loved watching them work.

Fireworks, Dole Whip, and a Transportation Lesson Learned

The original plan was to watch EPCOT fireworks from the Skyliner… but we pivoted.

Instead, we decided on:
👉 One more Dole Whip at the Polynesian

Aiden has officially declared the Polynesian his favorite resort, which was a proud mama moment for me.

We headed to Magic Kingdom, hopped on the monorail, and caught part of the Electrical Water Pageant on the way—pure nostalgia for me. Watching those glowing sea creatures and American flags glide across Seven Seas Lagoon unlocked core childhood memories.

At the Polynesian:

  • Dole Whip Swirl Cup ✅
  • Pulled Pork Nachos from Captain Cook’s ✅ (SO good, highly recommend)

Totally unplanned but perfect timing—we arrived just as the fireworks were starting and headed to the beach.

Fireworks From the Polynesian Beach

The beach is an incredible spot because:

  • Front-row view across the water
  • Music is piped in, so you get the full show

The first night worked better because fireworks started later due to a Christmas party. This night was a regular Magic Kingdom day, so:

  • Crowds were already there
  • No seating
  • Felt much more crowded

We stayed for the full show (because Happily Ever After makes me cry every single time), then headed back to Captain Cook’s to finish our snacks.

And then… we made our first real mistake of the trip.

What We’d Do Differently Next Time

By the time we leisurely made our way back to Magic Kingdom:

  • The park had closed
  • A sea of people were all exiting at once

We:

  • Missed the first monorail
  • Squeezed onto the second
  • Then waited through three full buses to finally get back to our resort

I won’t sugarcoat it—this part was not fun.

Lesson learned:
👉 Leave right after or a few minutes before fireworks end to beat the crowds. Do not do what we did.

Final Thoughts + Takeaways

The next morning was departure day (always the saddest), but we were already talking about our next trip before we even left.

My biggest takeaways:

  • Disney is always magical—but Christmas Disney hits different
  • You can absolutely fill multiple days without park tickets
  • This was the least stressful Disney trip we’ve ever taken
  • A little better planning around crowds would make it even smoother next time

And honestly? I’d do this trip again in a heartbeat.
